Heavy Rain

A very Love/Hate game within the community: I am in the love category. Despite never playing it I was in anticipation for this game since it was first announced. After playing Fahrenheit I definitely wanted more from this company; a developer that values story and difficult choices over gameplay.

This is not to say the gameplay is bad, it's just not for everyone: No ability to run, most action happens during quicktime events, etc..... But the story and atmosphere more than makes up the flaws in gameplay. Characters that you actually care about, a story that draws you in, and the ability to change the story of the game at every turn.

In Heavy Rain, if one of the playable characters dies then they are gone. The story will continue without them but it's a very different story than if they were there. Because of this then game has tons of replay-ability in this compact, 8-10 hour game.

Again, despite never playing this I will say that this is my game of the year for 2010. Weird, I know but I simply cannot ignore how spectacular this game is and when I finally buy my PS3/ this game I will not want to put it down.

This is actually next on my list of games to play. I'm looking forward to it as well, but I've heard the first hour or so is very tedious and in a 10 hour game, that kinda sucks. I'll have to wait till I play it to give it a final verdict.

the game bored the hell outta me...like..to tears. so go into it without your hopes TOO high. its a very love hate game

I started playing this just recently. It bored the ever living shit out of me for the first 2 hours but I'm pretty hooked now. It gets ALOT better.

And proceed, I started playing AC 2 the other day! And it doesnt suck ! Very Happy
